The Role of an SNA

  • Support pupils with additional care needs.

  • Promote independence where appropriate.

  • Assist with personal care, mobility, communication and organisation when required.

  • Support pupils to participate fully in school life.

  • Work alongside teachers and the Special Education Team.

Working Together

SNAs work collaboratively with:

  • Class Teachers

  • Special Education Teachers

  • School Leadership

  • Parents and Guardians

  • Outside professionals where appropriate
